If you love African beans, you must get to know T.O.H. It's an annual competition launched by the African Fine Coffees Association (AFCA), much like the Cup of Excellence (C.O.E) in other regions. Judges conduct rounds of cupping from various producing regions, eliminating any beans scoring below 80 points. Finally, domestic and international judges jointly cup and score the remaining beans according to Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) standards. The winning lot is considered the top green coffee bean of that year.
