A notice is posted at the entrance: Only coffee can be drunk here, no discussing business, no doing anything other than drinking coffee, no photos, no playing on phones, no reading, no eating. You must leave after 30 minutes. So, we obediently focused on savoring that deep bitterness and quietude... When bored, I looked around and noticed that all the items in the shop had turned dark brown from the daily coffee brewing. The owner suggested trying it plain first, then adding sugar and milk. Even with sufficient psychological preparation, taking the first sip, the profound bitter-sweetness immediately made my pores expand and invigorated me. Even beans I don't usually add milk to, I found myself eager to mix with other beans and add milk.
