Kalita x HASAMI Hasami-ware Sandstone Black Glaze Dripper SG102

This three-hole version, made with Japanese Hasami ware, differs from traditional fan-shaped drippers. Its ribs are very pronounced and arranged at multiple angles, allowing the filter paper to fit more snugly. Four raised dots are added between the water outlets at the bottom of the interior to prevent the filter paper from adhering too tightly and creating a vacuum, thus allowing the coffee to flow more easily. Each of these details allows the coffee beans to exhibit better flavor and layers. The dripper is fired using traditional techniques originating from Hasami four centuries ago, and the material is sandstone clay. This black glaze version is hand-painted, so each dripper will have a unique color, making it both practical and collectible.

Hasami Ware

"Yaki" means kiln. Hasami, one of Japan's major pottery centers, is located in Hasami Town, central Nagasaki Prefecture. It is a kiln with over 400 years of history. During the Edo period (1603-1868), Hasami ware gained widespread fame and popularity in Europe due to the continuous trade between Japan and Europe at that time.
