KōNO, Japan's iconic pour-over brand, officially launched its new generation coffee filters this year.
The inside of the filter paper (the side in contact with the coffee grounds) retains the same embossed treatment as before, which can effectively filter fine powder. The outside (the side in contact with the dripper) has intentionally removed the texture, allowing the filter paper to fit more closely with the dripper and enhance water retention during brewing.
Best paired with MDK type (short rib) drippers, it can achieve a rich flavor similar to flannel drip coffee.
