Our coffee beans tend to lean towards the flavour found in Japanese Kissaten-style coffee shops. It all started when Dolce was deeply captivated by the taste and atmosphere during her trips. She wanted to bring that flavour back to Hong Kong and offer its deliciousness to others.

Due to our collaboration with a coffee veteran who holds a respectable position in the coffee industry and our long-standing friendship with certain green bean suppliers, we occasionally have the opportunity to acquire the highest quality batches of coffee beans. We owe our fortune to this mentor, and sometimes we are lucky enough to obtain a small portion that slips through his fingers, which we gladly share with everyone. These special beans are always available for a limited time only, and once they're sold out, they're gone!

Our select shop aims to have both practicality and style. The shop owner is a registered member of the Association of Appearance Appreciation, upholding a grand demeanor that refuses to be overshadowed. With this spirit, we run this delightful little shop. As an enthusiast for beautiful equipment, the owner carefully selects visually appealing objects and coffee paraphernalia to showcase in the store. Additionally, there are artistic trinkets that can brighten one's mood and embellish daily life.

The owner, Dolce, stands at less than five feet like a tiny coffee bean, thus her name, which means “little coffee bean.” The Chinese name for her sounds like Dolce. “Dolce far niente” is an Italian phrase meaning the sweetness of doing nothing. A dream life is all about doing nothing, which is both romantic and practical.

The logo features a cup that is “half full.” It is just right – neither too little nor too much.

Since Dolce stands less than five feet tall, calling her a little coffee bean seems apt. She was initially a home barista who brewed coffee every day and gradually became addicted to the craft. A utensils collector, Japanese roasted coffee is her favourite. Japanese tea shops and old coffee houses where she can feel the history of the place are essential places to visit when she travels.

Ms. Defect

While Dolce is fully engaged in brewing coffee, she takes care of all other chores. Her responsibilities include capturing Dolce’s words, just as an epistoler does.
